Based on James Baldwin's 1974 novel of the same name, If Beale Street Could Talk is about a woman in Harlem desperately trying to prove her fiancé innocent of a crime while she is carrying their first child.


In early 1970s Harlem, daughter, wife & mom-to-be Tish vividly recalls the passion, respect and trust that have connected her and her artist fiancé Alonzo, who goes by the nickname Fonny. Friends since childhood, the devoted couple dream of a future together, but their plans are derailed when Fonny is arrested for a crime he did not commit.


Written and beautifully directed by Oscar-winning director Barry Jenkins.


Ensemble cast includes: Kiki Layne, Stephan James, Teyonah Parris, Regina King, Colman Domingo, Brian Tyree Henry, Dave Franco, Ed Skrein, Michael Beach, Finn Wittrock, Aunjanue Ellis, Diego Luna, Pedro Pascal, and Emily Rios.


The film hits theaters November 30.
