Immigration attorney Pamela Peynado is a force to be reckoned with. The Georgia resident has taken on the incredible task of helping undocumented immigrants stay in the U.S. Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in New York City, Pamela identifies with families who have experienced the stress and strife of having a loved one undergo detainment and deportation.
As a child she witnessed the conditions her uncle faced when he was held by ICE at Georgia’s Stewart Detention Center. This incident inspired Pamela to attend law school. At 29, she became the youngest and only female partner in the history of her firm. As shown in this clip by Great Big Story, Pamela is working tirelessly defending the rights of thousands of immigrants across the country.
