Bad Bunny released his new single, “El Apagón”, from his latest album Un Verano Sin Ti. Bad Bunny, who is known for being an outspoken advocate for gentrification, gender equality, and LGBTQ rights, used his new single to highlight the ongoing issues of colonialism and power grid failures facing Puerto Rico.
The “El Apagón” video transitions into an 18-minute documentary featuring journalist Bianca Graulau, who explains the socioeconomic issues and personal stories from the people themselves. “I hope people in PR can watch my video before the lights go out,” Bad Bunny posted to his Instagram story on Friday.
